What is an eye
An eye is an empty intersection where every neighbouring stone — up, down, left, right — belongs to the same colour. (Diagonals don't matter for the definition, though they matter for whether the eye is 'real'.) Eyes are the building blocks of life: the only way a group survives forever is to make two of them.
